General Foot Care
At Walking on Air Podiatry, we provide all general podiatry services to the community. Basically, if your feet need attention, we can help!
In addition to general podiatry treatment, we also provide advice on how you can best care for your feet, to prevent issues or pain from developing. For example, one of the simplest ways you can help to keep your feet healthy is by cutting your toenails correctly.
Common foot conditions
Some of the most common foot conditions that we can assist with:
- Bunion removal advice
- Corns and calluses
- Cracked heels
- Fungal infections
- Swollen ankles
- Plantar warts
- And more…!
We all have a certain foot type, which affects our foot biomechanics. For example, if you have flat feet, your feet will tend to over-pronate or roll inwards, while if you have high arched feet your feet will tend to supinate or roll outwards.
Specific foot types may be more prone to experiencing foot pain and other problems, particularly with certain types of footwear. Watch this short video by Chris Hope for more information about running shoes to suit specific foot types.
At Walking on Air Podiatry we can assess your foot type and biomechanics, and provide advice on the best combination of orthotics and footwear to suit your individual needs.
